Taking Part in a Clinical Trial

Jack recently participated in a study modeled on the work being done by Griffiths et al at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine to evaluate the effects of psilocybin on attitudes, mood, and behavior. The study was done under clinical conditions, and every effort was made to replicate the experimental parameters set up by the research team at Johns Hopkins.

All Jack can say is that sitting in a quiet room with a blindfold on and listening to Chopin's Nocturnes on headphones is a perfectly good waste of psilocybin. But getting the dosage right is critical.

More research is needed.

  1. I so appreciate your level of personal, self-sacrifice in these matters. And I further esteem your conscientiousness about dosages; I agree this part of the study “is critical” and will no doubt benefit from multiple replications. I applaud and support your continuing efforts to expand the horizons of science in this very important and timely field
